The Challenge

Most DJ websites are brochures: a photo, a bio, a contact form. The one thing they can't do is the one thing that sells a DJ — the sound and the energy of a live set. Naqvix designed and built this platform end-to-end for the Anaar Entertainment brand (DJ Alex Hamidi, a Los Angeles Persian/Arabic/international open-format act) to prove a different model: a site where visitors hear the product the moment they land, and then play with it.

The engineering brief went beyond the front of house. The platform had to carry a real entertainment operation: events with mixed public/private visibility and outbound ticket links, a priced add-on services menu, a downloadable mixes library, a multi-author blog, a partner network of referral DJs and venues — and every one of those surfaces had to be editable by a non-technical team from a single admin, with changes reflected immediately.

The Solution

We built the platform on Next.js (App Router) with Tailwind CSS, statically prerendered so every marketing page stays fast and crawlable, styled around a custom anaar-gold design token for the dark gold-luxury look.

  • Immersive homepage — a looping demo-mix plays behind the hero, so the first impression is the music itself, with clear "Book Now" and "View Events" CTAs.
  • "The Booth" — an interactive in-browser DJ-mixer simulation with Hi/Mid/Low EQ knobs, hot-cue pads, loop controls, and a sampler. Visitors don't read about the craft; they touch it.
  • Events system — tour-style listings with public/private visibility per event; public events link out to their Ticketmaster ticket pages, private bookings show a closed state.
  • Services & add-ons menu — five service categories plus nine transparently priced add-ons from $150 to $800+ (Production & Lighting, Silent Disco, Live Musicians, Photo Booth, Special FX, and more).
  • Mixes library — four full-length mixes with genre tags, durations, play counts, and direct MP3 downloads.
  • Story & trust pages — a 2010–2026 biography timeline with a downloadable EPK, a four-person team page, a referral network of partner DJs, and partner venues listed with capacities.
  • Multi-author blog with newsletter signup, and a booking form capturing event type, date, and guest count.
  • Content-management admin — a dashboard covering events, team, reference DJs, venues, services, and blog, with content stats and full CRUD; edits reflect on the live site immediately.

Results

The platform runs end-to-end today at djalex.naqvix.com as a production-grade build of what a modern entertainment brand's site can be. The looping demo-mix and The Booth turn a passive visit into an interactive one — the memorable moment most DJ sites never deliver — while the events, services, mixes, blog, and partner surfaces are all live and all managed from the built-in admin without touching code.

Just as important is what the architecture avoids: no external CMS subscription, no separate admin app to maintain, and no hand-edited pages. One Next.js codebase carries the public site and the operation behind it, giving an entertainment business a single place to run events, publish content, and capture booking inquiries.

I wanted people to feel the vibe before they ever booked me — and that's exactly what Naqvix delivered. The built-in player and the interactive DJ booth blew our clients away, but the real game-changer is behind the scenes: I sell my own tickets, manage every event, and track every lead from one dashboard. It's not just a website; it runs my whole business.
