Getting a tow still usually means calling around, describing where you are, and waiting with no idea when — or whether — a truck is coming. Towsider set out to replace that with an on-demand model: request a tow from your phone, get matched with an operator, and stay in contact until the truck arrives.
That meant building for two very different users at once. On one side, a stranded customer who is stressed, possibly on a road shoulder, and needs the booking flow to be nearly thoughtless. On the other, a tow operator who needs to control their availability, see job details clearly, and track what they're earning. And towing itself isn't one product — a local hook-up, a city-to-city outstation move, and a truck rental are different jobs with different pricing, so the booking flow had to branch cleanly from the first screen.
